Authorities say a 62-year-old Chicago man died after jumping from a moving train and getting electrocuted.

The Cook County medical examiner's office says William Wright died Sunday.

The Chicago Tribune reports that officials say he came in contact with the electrified third rail on the Red Line ā€œLā€ tracks on the city's South Side.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says emergency crews responded to a report of a man on the train tracks Sunday.

Firefighters pulled the man from the tracks. He was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
