Patricia de Nicolaï, from the Osmothèque de Versailles

L’histoire des Parfums de l’Antiquitée à nos jours. Take an olfactory journey with Patricia de Nicolaï, president of the Osmothèque of Versailles, where perfumes both existing and extinct are archived with scents dating as far back as the 1st century. This talk is in French.

Patricia de Nicolaï has been a chemist and creator of perfume for 20 years. She was born in Paris and raised in the Guerlain town house, side-by-side with four generations of the Guerlain family. Her childhood was, of course, perfumed with the most delicate essences.

Recorded Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Alliance Française de Chicago.
