Today is the day Christians celebrate the Epiphany. Across Latin America, kids wake up this day to find presents left by the Tres Reyes Magos, or the Three Kings. Some Chicago preschoolers in McKinley Park celebrated today too.

Alexis Artiaga, age 4, made sure she was in bed early last night.

ALEXIS: Me trajeron un caballo chiquito It worked.

The Three kings left her a toy horse.

Alexis' mom, Brenda Medina, says it's a tradition that's been handed down in her family—one she hopes she can pass on to her daughter—though that might be tough, given the pervasiveness of Santa Claus.

GIRL: Ya es Santa Claus Day…

"I got this for Santa Claus Day," said the little girl next to Alexis. "Three Kings Day," her mother corrected.
