Sami Samir Hassoun, 22, a Lebanese citizen living in Chicago, was charged with attempting to detonate a bomb outside this bar.

Federal prosecutors say they've reached a plea deal with a Lebanese immigrant accused of planting a fake bomb near Wrigley Field.

A lawyer for Sami Samir Hassoun told a federal judge on Tuesday her client is planning to change his current plea of "not guilty." Lawyers for Hassoun and the government both declined to elaborate after the hearing.

Prosecutors say Hassoun planted what he thought was a real bomb outside a Wrigleyville bar in September 2010. But it was a fake given to him by undercover FBI agents.

Hassoun is charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction.
