The homemade orchestra of Buke and Gass
May 14, 2011
Aron and Arone comprise a Brooklyn-based duo Buke and Gass. The name derives from the instruments they've created to "make as much noise on stage as possible," and for a two-member ensemble what they've accomplished is quite impressive. These instruments are primarily Aron's guitar-bass hybrid and Arone's baritone ukulele that she plays through a myriad of effects pedals. But hands are not the only thing at work in this band - an entire percussion ensemble is at their feet, or rather attached to their feet!
As the band passed through Chicago on a tour with tUnE-yArDs, they visited Vocalo studios for an interview with Adam Peindl.
