Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro is calling for an investigation after a professor held a sex toy demonstration after class.
President Schapiro said the professor of the class, John Michael Bailey, showed "extremely poor judgment" with the presentation. It took place last month.
A guest speaker was brought into the psychology class to discuss sexual fetishes. The speaker then asked if any students would want to see a live demonstration of a particular motorized sex toy. Published reports say about 100 students stayed.
Professor Bailey has said that the demonstration was not mandatory and students were allowed to leave before it began.
