Heightened security measures remain in effect at airports across the nation today.

Passengers still cannot bring liquids or gels in their carry-on bags, after officials halted a plot to bomb several flights from London.

The suspects allegedly planned to use explosives disguised as items like shampoo or lotion.

That led to some delays, an interesting pile of discarded cosmetics at O'Hare International Airport yesterday, and some mixed feelings about air travel.
