Mayor Richard M. Daley

Beginning in 1955 and ultimately ending in 2011, the Daleys will have governed Chicago for a total of 43 years. They have been an integral part of Chicago’s history, culture, and identity. So where, and how, will the city go from here? Tune in for a mayoral discussion that examines the past Daley era, talks about the current needs of the city, and looks at the potential candidates.

Moderator Laura Washington is joined by a panel of experts, including Paul Green, director of the School of Policy Studies at Roosevelt University, former politician Dawn Clark Netsch, professor emeritus at the Northwestern University School of Law, and a student from Mikva Challenge, an organization engaged in the development of civic leadership in underserved Chicago high school youth.

Recorded Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Chicago History Museum.
