A new study shows more wind energy businesses are calling Illinois home. The report found more than 100 wind businesses are located in the state - with more than 15,000 employees.

"The wind power industry is creating a large number of jobs and really driving business growth in Illinois," said Howard Learner, who heads the Environmental Law and Policy Center.

The report finds wind energy has grown considerably in Illinois since 2007. That's when the state legislature passed a measure requiring that 25 percent of Illinois' energy must come from renewable sources by 2025.
