Mar and Tomas, characters from "Camas y Mesas" by Emilio Williams

The International Voices Project 2011 opens at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago. This series celebrates the work of international playwrights with eight premiere concert readings of selected plays performed by a professional cast.

Camas y Mesas ("Tables and Beds") is a new comedy about falling in love—and the tragedy of falling out of love. It’s a hilarious dissection of the constant conflict between passion and routine, and a tribute to the unconditional love of life-long friends. Presented in collaboration with Teatro Luna Theatre, Alex Meda directs the play. This event is presented in English.

Recorded Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago.
