Chicago's historic Wrigley Building could soon get landmark status. The city's Commission on Chicago Landmarks made the recommendation earlier this week.
Lee Bey is an architecture blogger for WBEZ. He said the building is deserving of being a landmark because of its popularity in film.
"I think Wrigley Building, although, again, not a protected landmark for all those years, really is a landmark - I mean in the people's hearts and minds," Lee said.
The Landmarks Commission said that the Wrigley Building has unique visual features which would qualify it for a landmark status. The recommendation still needs approval from the Chicago City Council.
