Official Rules

 

Apple iPad (Gift Card) Sweepstakes

 

How to enter the “iPad” sweepstakes:

No purchase or pledge necessary to enter. All membership pledges made by phone or online on March 13, 2013, are automatically entered in the “iPad” sweepstakes:  Entries without a pledge can be made by calling 888-915-9239.  Limit one entry per person. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified.

 

Eligibility: 

Anyone can enter the “iPad” sweepstakes, except employees of WBEZ- Chicago Public Media and its related organizations, their immediate family or persons living in the same household. The sweepstakes is open to any United States resident except residents of Florida and New York. Void where prohibited by law. Winner of the “iPad” sweepstakes must be 21 years old or older.  As a condition of being awarded the Prize, winner must sign and return a release form by March 30, 2013.  

 

Prize: 1 (one) Apple Gift Card valued at $550.  

 

Prize will be mailed by April 30, 2013.  

 

Selection and notification of winner:  A winner will be drawn at 7:10 a.m., 8:10 a.m., 9:10 a.m., 10:10 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 1:10 p.m., 3:10 p.m., 4:10 p.m., 5:10 p.m., 6:10 p.m., 7:10 p.m., and 10:10 p.m. on March 13, 2013.  Entries will not be accepted after 10:10 p.m., March 13, 2013.  Winners will be selected by random drawing. Winners will be notified by telephone or email.  The rules detailing sweepstakes eligibility and method of selected winners are on file at Chicago Public Media. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of entries.  

 

General: By participating in the “iPad” sweepstakes, the participant agrees that Chicago Public Media and related organizations, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind which result from use of the Prize or by participation in the contest. Prize must be claimed by May 10, 2013.  Prize is nontransferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Chicago Public Media may use winner's name for publicity purposes without further compensation.

 

The winner is responsible for paying all taxes and expenses relating to winning the Prize. By participating in the sweepstakes, participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges.
