Thursday Eight Forty-Eight finished its one-on-one interviews with the candidates for Mayor of Chicago. Turns out there's one more left to sit down with--53rd Ward Alderman Ed Bus is also in the race. His campaign slogan?
I've been having a ton of fun playing Alderman Ed Bus this past couple weeks. The old character is from my comedy group, Schadenfreude. We aired a comedy show on WBEZ from 2003-2005. We've done specials and a few Eight Forty-Eight appearances.
The pundits and analysts are lining up local talk show appearances to give their opinion on who stands to benefit the most from the Appellate court decision to keep Rahm Emanuel off the ballot. But really, the winner has to be Alderman Ed Bus.
My favorite alderman (and alter-ego) Ed Bus has been quite busy this past week. The campaign of the 53rd ward alderman for mayor was featured in Crains, made the mayoral odds on NBC Chicago and was picked up by Eric Zorn in the Chicago Tribune.
