Spring session has adjourned in Springfield but House Speaker Michael Madigan and Senate President John Cullerton let members know they should expect to get back to work to balance a budget. Gov. Bruce Rauner accuses the two Democratic leaders of not being cooperative in passing a budget or reforms. Madigan and Cullerton say the Governor should be more focused on legislating. We talk to Gov. Rauner about what he thinks is next to get a balanced budget. Also, we take calls about the CTA's new Courtesy campaign.
CPS CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett says shifting custodial services to a private contractor isn’t going smoothly, but insists schools are not dirty. She also said the 475 pending layoffs are “up to the contractors.”
