The final town hall to review Chicago's draft Cultural Plan was quite a sonic event: 350 people (more or less) conversating in Preston Bradley Hall at the Cultural Center equals noisy!
The slick, profusely illustrated, approximately $300,000 draft plan says little to nothing about Chicago's rich musical community and makes no specific acknowledgement of any of the city’s vibrant indigenous sounds and subcultures.
After months of private meetings and public town halls, Chicago today unveils its new cultural plan. Ready for a "museum campus south?" Or a neighborhood cultural council?
