U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock's resignation comes just over two years after Jesse Jackson, Jr. left Congress and was charged with improper use of campaign money. But similarities between the two may be less about their cases and more about their personalities.
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has left the Mayo Clinic, where he was being treated for bipolar disorder for the second time since taking a leave of absence in June. Mayo spokesman Nick Hanson says Jackson left the Minnesota clinic Tuesday. He did not know where Jackson was going.
A spokesman for Rod Blagojevich says the ex-governor plans to testify in his corruption re-trial. His appearance on the stand could come as early as Thursday morning. Meanwhile, his defense has been keeping the seat prepared for him.
