The East St. Louis School District 189 board has obtained a restraining order barring the Illinois State Board of Education from taking over the district.In issuing the order Monday, St. Clair County Associate Judge Stephen Rice said it was unconstitutional to remove an elected board.

Marvin Marshall was 17 when he first went to prison for assault and battery. He dropped out of high school in junior year, made some bad choices and was arrested and imprisoned a few times.“It was pretty boring,” Marshall said about prison.
