The co-writers of the new movie Sleepwalk with Me (which opens this Thursday in select theaters) have taken to Youtube to war with the writer of a slightly more high-profile movie, The Avengers.

We're in the dog days of summer, but Chicago's cultural scene is still hopping. 

Steppenwolf's Garage Rep is now accepting applications for 2013. Considering the success of Hit the Wall, it seems likely that people might be even more encouraged to do 2013's season. 

Ira Glass was back in the Chicago area last weekend for his first public appearance here since the "Retraction" episode of This American Life, which examined the fabrications in Mike Daisey's story about conditions at an Apple factory in China. In his first full media conversation about the show, Ira gives his take on the confrontation with Daisey.
