Student preservationists are scouring Chicago suburbs to find examples of good architecture. They’re documenting all of suburban Cook County, including towns like Berwyn and Cicero that aren’t generally known for cutting-edge modern architecture.

You don’t have to look very hard to see Chicago’s tradition of midcentury modern architecture. A Mies here, a Frank Lloyd Wright there; we’re lousy with ‘em.
