There was little disagreement among candidates for Chicago mayor in a forum Tuesday evening devoted to public housing issues. But most of the major candidates didn't show. More than 250 people, many public housing residents, packed into an auditorium at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Another Chicago mayoral candidate is pulling out of the race. The Rev. Wilfredo De Jesus said Friday he’d throw his weight behind lobbyist Gery Chico. De Jesus leads a mostly Puerto Rican church called New Life Covenant, one of the city’s biggest congregations.
