Ruth Goring grew up in Colombia in a family of Christian missionaries. She left as a young adult, but returned years later to work on human and civil rights issues. Goring has a new biographical book of poetry about her experiences called 'Soap is Political'. She’ll share moments of her life as an advocate for Colombian civilians and read poems from her book.
