Senegal’s democracy is holding steady. Macky Sall won a clear victory in the Senegalese presidential elections over the weekend. He defeated longtime leader Abdoulaye Wade. Wade’s bid for a third term -- which would defy the two term limit -- had sparked violence and protest throughout the country.
