Dozens of families have approached Cook County officials to help identify victims of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.Gacy killed 33 young men in the 1970s and buried them under his house near the Northwest side of Chicago.
The case against John Wayne Gacy never made it to the Supreme Court; the serial killer was convicted in Cook County. Before Gacy was one of the most feared men alive, he was a Norwood Park precinct captain--so was Sam Amirante.
