Recently released Illinois inmates say they're not surprised that Gov. Pat Quinn won't let reporters in to see the dismal prison living conditions documented in a WBEZ investigation.
The past several months WBEZ has been requesting visits to two minimum-security facilities to see what Ilinois taxpayers get for the billion dollars they spend each year on prisons. But Gov. Pat Quinn says no.
