He believes that failure is at the very least an opportunity to start anew, whether on the global economic scale or on a personal level. And if failure breeds success then Smiley is failing better than most. The one-man media empire hosts talk shows, writes books and convenes summits.</p><p>His latest book is <a href="http://www.tavissmileyfailup.com/about_the_book.html" target="_blank"><em>Fail up: 20 Lesson on Building Success from Failure</em></a>.</p><p>He'll be speaking at <a href="http://kennedyking.ccc.edu/index.asp" target="_blank">Kennedy-King College</a> on Thursday and at St. Sabina Church on Saturday, where he’ll read from his new book and sign copies.
