Non-subscribers will have to shell out $6.99 a month. The <em>Sun-Times</em> was not alone in trying to charge for its content: The <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/" target="_blank"><em>New York Times </em></a>and the suburban <a href="http://www.dailyherald.com/" target="_blank"><em>Daily Herald</em></a> both erected paywalls recently--but, the <em>Sun-Times</em> was the first daily in Chicago to make the move.
