The film has gotten its share of praise and director Tyler Perry seems well on his way to another box office success. But there has been lots of controversy over how the film depicts black men and conveys the original play&rsquo;s feminist message.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Perry carries a lot of baggage to any film he makes and black audiences in particular are divided over whether his films provide good roles for black actors or traffic in harmful stereotypes.</p><p>To learn more about reaction to the film Eight Forty-Eight spoke to Kyra Kyles. Bush&rsquo;s memoir &quot;Decision Points&quot; has people reviewing many of the pivotal moments in his administration. His decision to invade Iraq is one such moment. It&rsquo;s a move still embroiled in controversy for many reasons, including whether the administration deliberately outed a CIA agent as it made its case for war. Now that agent, Valerie Plame, is the subject of a new film &quot;<a href="http://www.fairgame-movie.com/" target="_blank">Fair Game</a>.&quot;</p><p>To find out if the film fairly represents the recent history of American foreign policy, Eight Forty-Eight turned to its hawkish dove, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.chicago.timeout.com/file/media-reference-guide/mrg_sartin.html">Hank Sartin</a>.&nbsp;He also reviewed TYler Perry's latest &quot;For Colored Girls.&quot;</p><p>Sartin is the editor of <a target="_blank" href="http://chicago.timeout.com/section/film">Time Out Chicago&rsquo;s film section</a> among other things.
