Police say a three-year-old boy was among ten people shot in separate incidents in Chicago Saturday night.
The child was shot in the arm as he was walking with his parents about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. A Chicago Police spokesman says a man walked up to the family and began firing. The boy was the only person injured.
Police say the child's wound is not considered life-threatening. No arrest has been made yet.
In all, it was another deadly weekend in Chicago, which has seen the number of homicides climb well over 30 percent so far this year compared to the same period last year.
Between Friday and Sunday afternoon, police say a total of six men were killed and 17 people were injured in shootings.
