American RadioWorks Docs Return
October 16, 2008
American RadioWorks up in Minneapolis does a bang up job every year producing radio documentaries. This season is no exception. I'm really excited to bring these to you in our Sunday Specials slot at 9 p.m. I am especially excited for After the Projects, airing on Sunday, October 26. Chicago's Ida B. Wells, Dearborn Homes and other public housing areas in Chicago are profiled. Check out this great audio slide show with Michael Whitehead, a former Ida B. Wells resident. You'll hear stories from the people who live there and some from those who were able to move on.
This Sunday night at 9, What Killed Sergeant Gray looks at how Post-traumatic Stress Disorder affects soldiers who have participated in torture. This powerful doc follows members of a U.S. Army unit and their struggle to come to terms with what they did, and didn't do, in Iraq.
