Becky covers schools in Chicago and the suburbs for WBEZ. 

Prior to joining WBEZ in 2012, Becky was an education reporter for the Chicago News Cooperative, where she primarily focused on Chicago Public Schools. Before that, she worked at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as an education and general assignment reporter. 

Becky's work has also appeared in The New York Times and USA Today. She's contributed radio reports to Marketplace, NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

She received an award from the Education Writers Association in 2010 for her contributing work for an eight-week series on teacher quality in Wisconsin for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
