Joe DeCeault
Joe DeCeault is a producer for WBEZ’s award-winning weekday morning newsmagazine, The Morning Shift. He has been a full-time producer with the program since 2007 when it was called Eight Forty-Either, but has produced segments for the program since he began in early 2003. His job includes working with the show’s contributors, and producing music, film and technology segments. He was also a finalist for the Scripps Howard Foundation National Journalism Award for Radio in 2008. Joe also provides production and editorial assistance to Filmspotting, a radio version of the popular weekly film discussion podcast that airs Saturday nights on WBEZ.
Before his position with The Morning Shift, Joe helped out with programs including Sound Opinions, and produced numerous weekend and music specials.
Prior to joining WBEZ, Joe was station manager and music director at Triton College’s radio station, WRRG 88.9 FM. There, he was an adjunct faculty member teaching radio.
Originally from Oak Park, Joe resides in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.
