Police are estimating more than 75,000 people have jammed Chicago’s near West Side to protest a controversial immigration bill now in Congress.

Many oppose House Bill 4437, known as the Sensenbrenner bill, after the bill’s sponsor, Wisconsin Congressman James Sensenbrenner.

Chicago Public Radio’s Catrin Einhorn is at the demonstration and has the latest.
