Three hostages from a Chicago-based peace group have been rescued by coalition forces in Iraq.

The three were captured back in November while working for Christian Peacemaker Teams.

Reverend Carol Rose, co-director of the group, says, “It’s been such an incredible time over these months, and we’re just so pleased and happy to have this resolution for the three of them.”

Rose says the three released hostages will most likely head to Britain and Canada to see their families.

She adds their rescue is bittersweet.

A fourth hostage, American Tom Fox, was found killed in Baghdad earlier this month.
