Reviving Twinight

SHARE Reviving Twinight

At one time, music was something of a sport in Chicago, with legendary record labels like Chess, Brunswick and Curtis Mayfield’s Curtom Records.

These companies delivered to the world the sounds of stars like the Dells, Tyrone Davis and The Chi-Lites.

But smaller operations like Twinight Records also created their own unique chapters in Chicago music history.

Today, the musical archeologists at Chicago’s Numero Records are digging up the largely forgotten music and history of the Twinight label.

The result is a new double-CD set called Eccentric Soul: Twinight’s Lunar Rotation.

Chicago Public Radio’s Dan Bindert has this review.
