Lousiville, Kentucky, Police Chief Robert White is in the running to be Chicago’s next top cop. That was confirmed by Lousiville Mayor Jerry Abramson, who says Chicago could be a quote “dream job” for White. White has served in Washington D.C., as well as heading-up the police force in Greensboro, North Carolina. But Chicago Mayor Richard Daley says several candidates are still being considered for superintendent. DALEY: I like all of them. All of them are very good, all the people.

Daley says interviews are ongoing for the post, which was vacated when former Superintendent Phil Cline announced his resignation in April. In August the mayor rejected three finalists submitted by the Chicago Police Board, and no new finalists have been formally announced.
