Some Hispanic families have formed Chicago’s first sports program for children with autism. The program has begun with a summer baseball league on Sunday mornings in Humboldt Park on the city’s West Side. We joined parents Alex Cruz and Rose McDonough in the stands. After baseball wraps up, the parents are planning to expand the program to include indoor soccer, basketball and floor hockey. For more information, visit the Autism Awareness Kids Baseball Program.
