Restricted free agent Luol Deng has signed a six-year contract with the Chicago Bulls. General manager John Paxson says Deng is integral to the organization. And coach Vinny Del Negro says the 23-year-old forward is a cornerstone of the Bulls’ future. Deng himself says he feels the responsibility.

DENG: I look forward to putting the team on my shoulder and getting back to a new era, you know, the great days of basketball and getting the team back where we need to be.

The deal is reportedly worth $80 million, with $71 million in guaranteed money. Deng is entering his fifth year in the NBA.
