The Big Three automakers are testifying before Congress again Friday. Illinois Congressman Don Manzullo says he opposes the current bailout proposal for the automakers. The Republican lawmaker says the biggest problem with the plan is it doesn’t address consumers.

MANZULLO: Unless people are buying automobiles, it doesn’t do any good to give money to a company to go and pay its bills when they’re going to be plugged up again in a couple of days.

Manzullo says he would rather see a tax credit for people buying new cars. He sits on the House Financial Services Committee, which is scheduled to hear testimony from the automakers this morning.
