Obama Says His Staff Made No Deals With Blago

SHARE Obama Says His Staff Made No Deals With Blago

President-elect Barack Obama says he hasn’t had any contact with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich about the state’s vacant seat in the U.S. Senate. But Obama says he’s still making sure his staff and transition team are transparent.

OBAMA: What I want to do is gather all the facts about any staff contacts that may have taken place between the transition office and the governor’s office. And we’ll have those in the next few days and we’ll present them.

Obama’s comments come days after the governor’s arrest on federal corruption charges.

Obama says the public trust has been violated by Blagojevich.

He’s calling for the governor to resign.
