Flight Delays and Cancellations At Chicago's Airports

SHARE Flight Delays and Cancellations At Chicago's Airports

Poor visibility and high winds are hampering flight schedules at Chicago’s airports. Both O’Hare and Midway airports have reported flight delays and cancellations.

Karen Pride is the spokesperson for the city’s Aviation Department. Pride says crews are working hard to clear runways of water and slushy snow.

PRIDE: We’re certainly going to have flights leaving and arriving at the airport starting after 7 o’clock, but I don’t believe the airlines are going to have their full flight schedule until possibly later in the day.

O’Hare has cancelled more than 300 flights as of 7:30 this morning.

Midway is reporting minor delays and about two dozen cancelled flight.

Airport officials are urging passengers to check with their airlines before leaving for the airport.
