Back in a Bowl, Wildcats Face Mizzou

SHARE Back in a Bowl, Wildcats Face Mizzou

The Northwestern University football team gets a big challenge today down in San Antonio. The Wildcats are playing their first bowl game in three years.

Northwestern finished the regular season at 9 and 3, good enough for fourth in the Big Ten, and the school’s best record since 1996.

At the Alamo Bowl, senior quarterback C.J. Bacher leads Northwestern against the University of Missouri Tigers. Mizzou and Northwestern haven’t played in more than 20 years, in a game the Wildcats would rather forget. They lost 28 to 3.

Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald says the Alamo Bowl is a “big game for us, a huge game for our program.” Kick-off at 7 o’clock tonight.
