Blagojevich Continues Media Blitz

SHARE Blagojevich Continues Media Blitz

Today is day two of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s impeachment trial in Springfield. But like yesterday, the governor won’t be in town.

As Blagojevich’s trial got underway in downstate Illinois on Monday, the Governor was on the East Coast, kicking off a national media tour in New York. Blagojevich made appearances on ABC’s “The View” and “Good Morning, America” before wrapping up his day on CNN’s “Larry King Live”.

The governor’s message stayed consistent throughout the day – he says he’s being unfairly targeted, and that the proceedings in Springfield are a sham.

Expect more of the same today.

A lot more.

Blagojevich is slated to discuss his case in least 11 different national television interviews in under nine hours – on channels like Fox News, CNN, and CBS. His first taping was slated for 6:45 a.m. Eastern Time.

The governor’s newly hired PR firm says he’ll travel back to Illinois this evening.
