The federal government is looking to purchase a maximum security prison in western Illinois for $237 million. That’s according to published reports examining President Barack Obama’s budget recommendations.

Federal officials had expressed interest in buying the prison in Thomson, Illinois. They want to use the space to hold terrorism suspects from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Obama’s $3.8 trillion dollar budget still needs approval from Congress.
