The deadline to make trades in the National Basketball Association passed today. The Chicago Bulls made two deals just before deadline. They traded guard John Salmons to Milwaukee and big man Tyrus Thomas was sent to Charlotte.

The deals give Chicago plenty of room under the salary cap to go after big name free agents this summer. LeBron James and Dwayne Wade are just two of the players available in what’s expected to be an unprecedented free-agent class.
