It’s a hard conversation to have: putting financial and health plans in place before dementia hits. And it is something most American families are not doing. A survey by the National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®) finds that 7 in 10 people say major barriers are preventing their families from openly communicating about who will make financial decisions on behalf of an aging family member if they become unable to.
