SHARE City panel endorses minimum wage hike

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is pitching a plan to boost the city’s minimum wage to 13 dollars an hour. The proposal was put together by a task force of aldermen, labor and business leaders and it covers everything from tipping wages to teen jobs. But representatives from the task force say they won’t make a move on it until the state moves on the issue. Meanwhile some local business groups say either way they won’t support it. WBEZ’s Lauren Chooljian reports.
