Lesser known attractions in Chicagoland area offer unique experiences

Nearly 40 million people visit Chicago annually according to the city of Chicago’s official website. Mayor Rahm Emanuel has stated that he plans to increase that number to 55 million by 2020. Discussing the area’s alternate travel destinations are Scott Bort, Communications Manager at the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau and Cliff Terry, travel writer and author of Chicago Off the Beaten Path - A Guide to Unique Places.
