Today's Sun-Times front page: splashy or trashy?

SHARE Today's Sun-Times front page: splashy or trashy?

The front page of this morning's Sun-Times has a small headshot of the man accused of setting a fire at the air traffic control facility in Aurora. His name was under the picture and a large headline underneath his image read: HERE'S THE REASON YOUR FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED. We discuss whether or not the headline violated the ethics of journalism with our panelists Michele Weldon, Assistant Professor, Emerita, from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She's also the author of Everyman News: The Changing American Front Page. Mary Wisniewski, president of the Chicago Headline Club, and national correspondent for Reuters, also joins us.
