Senator Mark Kirk on Bruce Rauner’s visit to Washington

One of the big stories today is on the vote in City Council to raise the minimum wage. Will the Illinois statehouse follow suit? We’ll have more on that with our political reporters later in the hour. Illinois Governor-elect Bruce Rauner was in Springfield earlier today to address the media about his transition to the governor’s mansion, which begins next month. And Crains Chicago Business is reporting that Rauner is scheduled to be in Washington D.C. later this week to talk with the Illinois delegation about working together. What are the big issues facing the state and what can Rauner expect from the federal government? On the line with us is the leading Republican for the Illinois delegation, US Senator Mark Kirk, who is hosting the luncheon on Thursday. Photo Courtesy of WIKIMEDIA
