Alderman Takes on CTA Troubles

SHARE Alderman Takes on CTA Troubles

The CTA officially plans to re-open it's newly remodeled Kimball Station on the Brown Line today. But that's cold comfort to many rail riders. That's because they learned this week that the toughest days are still ahead for the on-going Brown Line Reconstruction Project.
In just a few months riders of the Brown, Red and Purple lines can expect significant delays for the next three years as key track and platform work begins. This CTA news comes on the heels of a series of train derailments, service delays, and aggravating slow zones.
We talk with 22nd Ward Chicago Alderman Ricardo Munoz and 49th Ward Chicago Alderman Joe Moore who announced plans yesterday to hold City Council Hearings on CTA performance.
Alderman Moore talks with us today about these issues.
